Marvellous museum piece that this exceptional bed-spread entirely composed of needle and bobbin laces, in the several tone of ivory, white, broken white and cream. This piece is a splendid realization of 30 lace bands of Cluny, Reticella, point of Venice, filet laces.

The medallion of the central part is decorated of a lattice made with the bobbin with a composition of tulle and point de Venice representing a stripped woman who poses on a layer. Volutes of leaves of Acanthuses and bridges attached in Richelieu encircles it.

4 insertions of bobbin laces are on the front and bottom of the piece and represent fruit baskets on Médicis vases. The bands of lace the needle-point of Venice represents immense stylized tulips and leaves of Acanthuses.

The lace of net represents volutes of leaves of Acanthuses. The other laces achieved by needle are geometrical pattern picots. Two types of laces surround this splendid piece. On the lateral sides, it is a bobbin lace of Cluny with picots and points of spirit. The sides front and bottom are made of lace of Reticella made with needle representing of the stylized flowers with leaves of Olive tree.

The central part is of rectangular form of 55cm by 45cm.
