These pieces were given to the bride and groom by the brides parents~ usually large and opulent~ to insure many grand children and a prosperous life. It has a stylized triple monogram "FED". The fine early hand work is unsurpassed, and the large needlelace inserts, deep silky whitework and open cutwork, combined with wide double hems with hemstitching ~ impeccably executed~ are the epitome of elegance! If you are a lover of the very finest linens money can buy, this intricately detailed cloth~ with unsurpassed visual appeal is a "must have" treasure! It measures a very large 72x108", and is absolutely perfect~ free of wear, holes or any other flaws. It is from the 1920s', I have gently washed it to insure it is perfectly sound, so will arrive clean and fresh, and is Museum quality and condition and a priceless find!
