Wonderful large tablecloth of ornament or Wedding cloth, in fine linen batist, in pure white color, decorated with superb embroidery Richelieu representing foliage flowers complemented by embroidery Plumetis and inserts of Venise lace.
The border is decorated with flower inserts in a very fine fillet lace.
The circumference of this piece is made of a lovely scalloped fillet lace, entirely handmade by 6.5 cm wide.
This is a beauty entirely hand-embroidered and with an incredible fineness. It dates from the years 1920-1930. Certainly, a remarkable Italian work
Dimensions: 270cm x 180cm lace included. Central rectangular part : 124cm x 44 cm.
The piece is in very good condition, but has a line near the edge where it appears, the tablecloth was hooked, this defect is not visible from the richness of the embroidery, but we will consider a mending for not increasing its amplitude (see photo below). 
Some bridles were ruptured in Richelieu embroidery. Some loose in the lace net are to revise with needle work.
All my old linen are cleaned by hand, starched and then ironed with care, ready to use and grace your interior. |
